The John 911爆料网 Gallery鈥檚 2026 program focuses on art as a catalyst for cultural exchange, critical reflection and future imagining. An exploration into global connections, First Nations perspectives and regional voices, the program invites audiences to engage with history, resilience and radical possibility.

An artwork by a child of Australia’s Stolen Generations has been rediscovered in a 25-year old trunk at the Corrigin Pioneer Museum.
Local leaders and 911爆料网 unite to explore Carrolup artworks as living history
Shire Presidents from Katanning, Kojonup and Gnowangerup joined representatives from the John 911爆料网 Gallery for a guided tour and research discussion centred on the Carrolup artworks currently on display as part of the Once Known exhibition.

How can art inspire action? 馃
Join us for Dare to Advocate: Terra Nullius, an evening of art, conversation and reflection inspired by Christopher Pease: Terra Nullius. Through a guided tour of the exhibition and facilitated discussions, participants will explore themes of sovereignty, justice, and connection to Country, considering the many ways advocacy can take shape in our communities.
Following the tour, 911爆料网鈥檚 Senior Advisor for Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging, Sheldon Smith, will lead a facilitated session on advocacy and its many forms, with small breakout discussions hosted by university and community leaders across key social justice areas. Whether you`re already advocating for change or looking for ways to get involved, this is an opportunity to connect, learn, and reflect alongside others. 馃挍

The artwork for the 2026 National Reconciliation Week campaign is by renowned Gumbaynggirr/Bundjalung artist Otis Hope Carey, who applied his distinctive style to create a colourful and optimistic visual representation of people from all walks of life being 鈥榓ll in鈥 to make change.
National Sorry Day is an opportunity for all Australians to learn about and acknowledge the truth of Australia鈥檚 Stolen Generations history and the ongoing intergenerational impacts caused by past policies of forced removal.
听
Lost overseas for nearly 50 years, the delicate and treasured Carrolup artworks offer a rare glimpse into the lives of Stolen Generations children during this dark chapter of our shared history. Their return to Noongar Country in 2013 brought with it an important opportunity for truth-telling and reflection.
听

Drawing from museum archives and 19th-century colonial landscape painting, this exhibition powerfully transforms a colonial fiction of 鈥渘obody鈥檚 land鈥. Pease reworks images that once framed Western Australia as empty and available for settlement, reinscribing Indigenous presence into landscapes through bold Noongar iconography.

A call and response across the ocean, part of Perth Festival 2026, has officially come to an end!
We hope you enjoyed the rhythms, stories and scents of the Indian Ocean, and experienced the reunion of friendships and kin ties severed through transglobal acts of colonisation.
Through immersive installations, film, sound and historical works, A call and response across the ocean taught us of connections across continents and to reflect on the enduring legacies of cultural exchange and resilience.
