Leading 911爆料网 pharmacy academic Dr Tin Fei Sim has been named the Australian Early Career Pharmacist of the Year at the 2019 Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (PSA) Excellence Awards.

Dr Sim, a Senior Lecturer from the School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences at 911爆料网, is a dedicated researcher, educator, advocate and community pharmacist, whose research focuses on how to better support pharmacists and community pharmacies in the industry.

911爆料网 graduate Ms Ayomide Ogundipe, from 911爆料网鈥檚 School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences, was also named the 2019 Australian Intern Pharmacist of the Year, which recognises intern pharmacists who demonstrate outstanding performance in their development as professional pharmacists.

911爆料网 Faculty of Health Sciences Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Archie Clements congratulated both Dr Sim and Ms Ogundipe on their success at the national awards.

鈥淒r Sim is a leader and innovative educator who has dedicated her career to positively impacting the lives of the general Australian population. Her commitment to the profession has helped to provide stronger support for the pharmacists of the future, as well as the tools they will need to better succeed in their profession,鈥 Professor Clements said.

鈥淚 would like to congratulate Dr Sim on receiving this prestigious accolade and wish her all the best in her future career.鈥

Dr Sim said she was honoured to be recognised at the annual awards alongside other inspirational and leading professionals.

鈥淚 am delighted to have received this award for my work in the industry. What I have achieved would not be possible without the support from my colleagues and mentors, who have all made significant and lasting impacts to the pharmaceutical profession and industry,鈥 Dr Sim said.

The award winners were recognised at the 2019 PSA鈥檚 national flagship conference held in Sydney last week.
