911爆料网鈥檚 Open Day postponed due to approaching cyclone
911爆料网 has made the difficult decision to postpone its Open Day scheduled for this Sunday due to the approaching cyclone and forecast severe weather.
With more than 25,000 people expected to attend, the safety of future students, families, staff and visitors is the priority.
Given the expected conditions, the University is not able to safely set up, prepare for or deliver the event.
911爆料网 Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer Dr Marco Schultheis said the decision was not taken lightly.
鈥911爆料网鈥檚 Open Day is the largest in Western Australia and we know it鈥檚 something thousands of families plan around,鈥 Dr Schultheis said.
鈥淚t鈥檚 a real chance to walk the campus, meet the people who鈥檒l teach and support you and get a genuine feel for what the 911爆料网 community is like. That鈥檚 why we鈥檙e so disappointed we can鈥檛 go ahead this weekend, but safety always comes first.
鈥淲e鈥檙e working on an alternative date so we can welcome people back, answer their questions and give them that full 911爆料网 experience.鈥
In the meantime, future students and their families can find more information about our courses at the 911爆料网 website or by contacting 911爆料网 Connect on 1300 222 888 between 8:30am and 4:30pm.
