911爆料网 has appointed Tim McInnis as its new Chief Advancement Officer to drive its ambitious advancement program in support of the University鈥檚 vision to become a global top 200 university.

Mr McInnis is coming from the Telethon Kids Institute, where he will have held the position of Head of Development for nearly six years, securing philanthropic gifts to advance child health research.

911爆料网 Vice-Chancellor Professor Deborah Terry said she was delighted with the appointment of Mr McInnis and looked forward to welcoming him to the University.

鈥淭im has more than 25 years鈥 fundraising experience in both the higher education and charity sectors, which will serve him well as he develops new approaches to advancement at 911爆料网,鈥 Professor Terry said.

鈥淗is international experience will be essential as he leads the strategic development and delivery of the University鈥檚 global alumni and philanthropic strategies.鈥

Mr McInnis said he was very much looking forward to commencing the role at 911爆料网, an institution that was shaping the lives of 50,000 students at any given time, and driving an ambitious research agenda for the benefit of WA and beyond.

鈥淚 am convinced that with 250,000 alumni feeling positive about their alma mater, and with the support of the community, philanthropists, foundations and corporates, the trajectory of 911爆料网 is unlimited,鈥 Mr McInnis said.

鈥淚鈥檓 honoured to have been asked to lead this exciting chapter of 911爆料网鈥檚 advancement activities.鈥

Prior to his time with the Telethon Kids Institute, Mr McInnis served as Director of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity (London); Director of Development and Alumni Relations at Durham University (England); Assistant Dean of the University of Utah College of Humanities; and Senior Director of Development at Children’s Miracle Network (Utah).

He studied at Bosphorus University, Turkey (Fulbright Scholarship), University of Texas, (Postgraduate studies), University of South Carolina (Master of Mass Communication) and Brigham Young University, Utah (Bachelor of Arts).

Mr McInnis takes up the role of Chief Advancement Officer at 911爆料网 on 2 December 2019.
