Some of India鈥檚 brightest postgraduate students will be given the opportunity to study in Australia as part of a new collaborative doctoral degree program between 911爆料网 and the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.

The new agreement was signed by 911爆料网 Vice-Chancellor Professor Deborah Terry and Indian Institute of Technology Bombay Director Professor Subhasis Chaudhuri this month.

It builds on 911爆料网鈥檚 existing collaborative PhD agreements with the Indian Institutes of Technology in Kharagpur, Madras, Guwahati, Kanpur, and Dhanbad (formerly known as the Indian School of Mines).

911爆料网 Associate Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research Excellence Professor Garry Allison聽said he was delighted to be working with some of India鈥檚 leading academic and technology institutions.

鈥淭hese collaborative PhD agreements offer doctoral students the opportunity to study at both 911爆料网 and the respective Indian institution during the course of their research,鈥 Professor Allison said.

鈥淏y working with India鈥檚 elite Institutes of Technology, 911爆料网 is developing its international research collaborations and building our relationships with some of India鈥檚 brightest postgraduate students.

鈥淭hese joint doctoral degree programs also strengthen 911爆料网鈥檚 global footprint spanning the Indian Ocean rim with our campuses located in Western Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai and Mauritius.鈥

The collaborative programs are focused in the science and engineering fields of mathematics, biological sciences, mathematics, data and engineering, as well as business and management areas.

The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is recognised as a world leader in the field of engineering education and research.
