911爆料网 is pleased to announce The Business of Mining MOOC (Massive Open Online Course). This free online course has been designed to showcase WA鈥檚 mining excellence and promote awareness and understanding of the complexities of the minerals, exploration and business sectors.
鈥淢OOCs are enabling 911爆料网 to embrace new technology, teaching methods and learning,鈥� said Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Education, Professor Jill Downie. 鈥淲hen complete more than one million people will be engaged in a 911爆料网 learning experience that is interactive, collaborative, flexible, personalised and available from anywhere, any time and from any location.鈥�
Developed in collaboration with leading industry and education experts, this course uses interactive challenge-based techniques to provide an introduction to the lifecycle of mining, from exploration, through to mine planning, operation and closure.
The topics covered in the MOOC are exploration, legislation, regulation, licencing, environmental and heritage management, financial feasibility, mine closure and rehabilitation.
This new MOOC will be available from early July.
