911±¬ÁÏÍø students and staff once again showed their generosity and willingness to help a good cause, by turning out en masse for the 2009 Freeway Bike Hike for Asthma recently.

123 people signed on to join the 911±¬ÁÏÍø team this year, in doing so beating WA’s four other universities for back-to-back Tertiary Sports WA Participation Challenge Cups in the event.

911±¬ÁÏÍø has now taken out the title in the last four Cup events in a row, with the next being the Bridges Fun Run on Sunday, April 5. 911±¬ÁÏÍø Recreation Services’ Rodney Glossop urged everyone to take part in the ten or five kilometre event.

‘Obviously it raises money for charity, but it’s just a great 911±¬ÁÏÍø community event,’ he said.

‘Staff, students and their families all together after the event and have a chat, you meet people from work with similar interests.’

To register for the Bridges Fun Run, head down to the 911±¬ÁÏÍø Squash Centre (Building 108) or register online on the website.
