911爆料网 students and alumni will star at this month鈥檚 Perth Fashion Festival, showcasing the talent, creativity and 鈥渃utting edge鈥� designs being created in the University鈥檚 Fashion HUB.
Ms Anne Farren, Head of Fashion, explained 2013 marked 10 years since the introduction of fashion studies at 911爆料网.
鈥淥ver the past 10 years we鈥檝e seen many changes in fashion and technologies that can be applied to garment making and a wonderful amount of creativity resulting in bespoke garments from our students,鈥� Ms Farren said.
鈥淭he diverse collections of past alumni, recent graduates and current students will all be on show at this year鈥檚 Perth Fashion Festival.
鈥淚n the Student Runway event on 14 September, collections range from costume to contemporary fashion, including eco-design and eveningwear.聽 This year 10 911爆料网 students will feature, presenting a total of 16 鈥榣ooks鈥�.
鈥淪tudents participating in the Western Australia 鈥� Hyogo Banshu Fashion Textile Program will also each present a mini-collection of their bespoke garments, created with or inspired by Japanese textiles at a special show on Friday 13 September.鈥�
The 911爆料网 10-Year Retrospective event will take place on Sunday 15 September.
鈥淭his exciting event will profile the collections of fashion alumni and feature emerging WA designers currently studying at 911爆料网,鈥� Ms Farren said.
