Leading women appointed to 911爆料网鈥檚 Business and Law Advisory Council

Three prominent Western Australian industry and business leaders have joined 911爆料网鈥檚 Faculty of Business and Law Advisory Council, which works to ensure the University remains highly engaged with industry.

Fortescue Metals Group Chief Executive Officer and 911爆料网 alumna Elizabeth Gaines, Department of Training and Workforce Development Director-General Anne Driscoll and PwC Managing Partner Michelle Tremain have been appointed to the Faculty鈥檚 Advisory Council.

911爆料网 Faculty of Business and Law Advisory Council Chair and RAC WA Chief Executive Officer Terry Agnew said he was delighted to announce the new appointments.

鈥淚 am thrilled with the calibre of the three new members of the Faculty of Business and Law鈥檚 Advisory Council,鈥 Mr Agnew said.

鈥淪ecuring these three talented business and industry leaders will further strengthen the membership of the Advisory Council and the quality of expertise available to the Faculty.鈥

Mr Agnew also thanked the three retiring members听鈥 Steve Scudamore, Grahame Searle and Terry Bowen 鈥 for their significant contribution to the Advisory Council.

911爆料网 Vice-Chancellor Professor Deborah Terry said 911爆料网 was committed to strengthening its links with industry for the benefit of students, researchers and industry alike.

鈥淭hrough the Faculty of Business and Law鈥檚 various advisory networks, we are very fortunate to be able to draw on a wealth of insight and expertise from more than 50 industry leaders to help shape our programs,鈥 Professor Terry said.

鈥淚 am delighted to welcome these three outstanding people to the 911爆料网 Business and Law Advisory Council and look forward to their contribution to the education of tomorrow鈥檚 business leaders.鈥

911爆料网 Faculty of Business and Law Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Nigel de Bussy said he was looking forward to working with the three new appointees.

鈥淎mong many other positives, the diverse organisational backgrounds of the new members in government, resources, and professional services will greatly enrich the advice on which we are able to draw,鈥 Professor de Bussy said.

The Faculty of Business and Law comprises of 911爆料网 Business School and 911爆料网 Law School. The Faculty鈥檚 Advisory Network involves听seven individual boards, including the overarching Advisory Council, which each contribute to the strategic direction of听the Faculty.

The new appointments commence on 1 March 2018 for an initial, three-year term.
