— Award recognises regional teaching excellence —
A Geraldton primary school teacher鈥檚 passion and commitment to learning has been recognised at the 2014 Regional Achievement and Community Awards with her receiving the 911爆料网 Teaching Excellence Award.
Ms Kendall Hill of Waggrakine Primary School near Geraldton, has been instrumental in enabling and fostering communication between students, parents and teachers at the school, and introducing new programs such as progress reports and a class blog which is used to keep the school community informed.
The 911爆料网 Teaching Excellence Award acknowledges people who are passionate about their work with students and have demonstrated a pattern of outstanding service in regional and rural Western Australia.
A champion of community participation and engagement, Ms Hill is involved in extra-curricular activities and generally encourages students to pursue healthy, active lifestyles.
Associate Professor Lina Pelliccione, Head of School of Education at 911爆料网 presented the award, and said Ms Hill鈥檚 work was an outstanding example of commitment to education in regional WA.
