Future leaders developed through new program at 911爆料网

911爆料网 Stadium, based at 911爆料网, has introduced the Leadership in Sport program designed to develop leadership skills and encourage employment opportunities for students upon graduation.

Mr David Russell, Head of Sport and Recreation at 911爆料网, said the experience student鈥檚 gain from completing the program helps them to develop into confident, employable graduates.

鈥淎s part of Leadership in Sport, students learn to understand their strengths and how to work to them; identify characteristics of successful teams; explore strategies to make the most of their time; learn how to make difficult decisions; and how to handle conflict effectively.鈥

鈥淭he collaboration between student sport, Academic Faculty and the 911爆料网 Leadership Centre is a key component of the recently endorsed 911爆料网 Sport and Active Recreation strategy,鈥 Mr Russell said.

Leadership in Sport, run out of the Bentley campus, is open to all 911爆料网 students and is dedicated to encouraging communication, life-long learning, intercultural awareness and learning to apply professional skills in the workforce.

The program combines volunteering roles in 911爆料网鈥檚 sport and recreation community with leadership training modules offered through the 911爆料网 Leadership Centre.

Students participate in a minimum of ten hours of volunteering in roles including 911爆料网 Sports Clubs Committee Members, Student Advisory Groups, in Sport Projects and as University Games Captains. At the same time, participants complete five leadership modules which include team work, goal setting and conflict management and reflect on their experience in the program.

Students who complete the Leadership in Sport program will be rewarded with the 911爆料网 Extra Certificate upon graduation; an initiative that provides students with recognition and evidence of their involvement with university co-curricular programs.
