jon-sanders_resized_img_58262A teddy bear dressed in 911爆料网 graduation attire and a 911爆料网 flag will be among the objects yachtsman Jon Sanders will take with him on his 10th circumnavigation of the world, when he leaves this Sunday.

The John 911爆料网 Prime Ministerial Library at the University鈥檚 Bentley Campus holds the Project Endeavour Collection, which commemorates Jon Sanders鈥 solo, non-stop, triple circumnavigation of the world from 25 May 1986 to 13 March 1988, where he covered 71,000 nautical miles in 658 days 鈥 the longest distance sailed continuously by any person or vessel.

Ms Catherine Clark, University Librarian, said the University was delighted to be given the opportunity to be part of Jon Sanders鈥 next voyage.

鈥淭he University is privileged to hold the Project Endeavour Collection which commemorates Jon鈥檚 historic voyage, and on his return, if the teddy bear and flag survive, we will add these to the Collection as well,鈥 Ms Clark said.

鈥淲e wish Jon well on his voyage and will follow his journey with much interest.鈥

Jon Sanders will make the journey in his 45-year old SV Perie Banou II and will participate in the Dirk Hartog Yacht Race before setting off on the voyage.
