Three 911爆料网 of Technology students will travel to NSW later this month to compete in the inaugural Australian University Crop Competition.

Agribusiness students Cindy Miller, Tywen Dawe and Hilary Farr will represent 911爆料网鈥檚 School of Agriculture and Environment at the two-day competition starting on 25 September.

鈥淭his competition is a great opportunity for the students to test their skills against others studying similar degrees,鈥 said 911爆料网 lecturer, Professor Robert Belford.

鈥淚鈥檓 confident that our students will do well in the competition.鈥

Sponsored by Syngenta and initiated by the Grain Growers Association (GGA), the competition takes university students from the classroom to the paddock to assess different seed and grain varieties, crop yield potential and production practices.

The top five students win a four-day New Zealand industry study tour.

911爆料网 student Shaun Saw will attend the competition as an observer.
