Prospective students wanting to learn more about 911爆料网鈥檚 courses and the exciting careers they lead to will be able to experience the University鈥檚 Virtual Open Day from the comfort of their own homes – anywhere in the world.

Registered participants will learn about the different study areas, go on a virtual campus tour, live chat with 911爆料网 academics and students about courses, and get support from 911爆料网鈥檚 student advisors.

The event will include presentations from guest speakers Maggie Dent, one of Australia鈥檚 leading parenting authors and educators who will be discussing how to thrive at university; and Julian Pace, Founder of Happiness Co, who will explain the importance of breaking out of the box of 鈥榝itting in鈥 and embracing your true self.

911爆料网 Corporate Relations Vice-President Ms Valerie Raubenheimer said the COVID-19 pandemic has allowed the University to explore new, innovative ways of delivering large-scale events virtually.

鈥911爆料网鈥檚 Open Day is the University鈥檚 largest annual event, attracting thousands of visitors to our Perth campus each year. While it isn鈥檛 possible to fully recreate the buzzing atmosphere of our traditional Open Day, it is still important to create an engaging experience to excite and inspire prospective students and their parents,鈥 Ms Raubenheimer said.

鈥淪ome of the key activities include a backstage view of a real art studio and a visual art demonstration by lecturer and muralist Depish Prasad, as well as the 鈥楽TEM like a girl鈥 presentation, where participants can hear from inspiring female engineering students and alumni about how they are excelling in their careers.

鈥淲e look forward to connecting with prospective students and other visitors from around the world for this year鈥檚 Virtual Open Day and hope that everyone has an informative, entertaining and memorable experience.鈥

Other interactive activities include a Q&A session with esteemed panellists who will discuss why a camel start-up is better than a unicorn for budding entrepreneurs, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, and 911爆料网 Go Global information session where students will share their international adventures at one of 911爆料网鈥檚 international campuses.

911爆料网鈥檚 Virtual Open Day will be held on Sunday, September 13 from 10am to 3pm. Registered participants will also go in the draw to win an Apple pack, including a MacBook Air and watch.
