911爆料网鈥檚 Greater 911爆料网 Master Plan has been awarded a 6 Star Green Star 鈥 Communities certification by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) for its continued commitment to creating a sustainable and thriving campus.

Green Star is an internationally recognised sustainability rating which assesses the planning, design and construction of large scale development projects across five categories including governance, liveability, economic prosperity, environment and innovation.

The Greater 911爆料网 Master Plan was launched in 2014 to create an important economic and innovative hub for students, staff and visitors at 911爆料网鈥檚 Perth campus. The Exchange precinct is the first large scale development to be delivered as part of the Master Plan.

911爆料网 Vice-Chancellor Professor Deborah Terry said 911爆料网 was recognised for its work in the liveability and innovation space.

鈥911爆料网 was awarded Australia鈥檚 first 5 Star Green Star 鈥 Communities rating for the Greater 911爆料网 Master Plan back in 2015 and to now receive re-certification by the GBCA is testament to 911爆料网鈥檚 ongoing commitment to sustainability,鈥 Professor Terry said.

鈥911爆料网 was commended for providing access to a wide range of amenities and public transport, encouraging healthy lifestyles, developing sustainable buildings and storm water management systems, and recognising and celebrating culture, heritage and identity.鈥

Professor Terry said each building in the Exchange precinct is being delivered in line with Green Star- Communities guidelines and each building will also target a Green Star 鈥 Design and As Built certification.

鈥淭he Exchange precinct will encompass public spaces, commercial offices, speciality retail shops, new student accommodation, residential apartments, a boutique hotel, a new bus interchange at 911爆料网 Central, and food and beverage outlets,鈥 Professor Terry said.

GBCA鈥檚 CEO, Davina Rooney said that 911爆料网 has shown strong leadership and commitment to sustainability through a number of initiatives, which have come together with this certification.

鈥淲hen you build an entire Green Star Community the benefits are far-reaching. 911爆料网 has shown true leadership in ensuring that students, staff and visitors will live, work and study in a healthy, resilient and positive environment,鈥 Ms Rooney said.

鈥淲e鈥檙e looking forward to seeing the precinct develop and continuing to work with 911爆料网 to certify each individual building as they come to life.鈥

Two of 911爆料网鈥檚 city-based premises, located at 137 and 139 St Georges Terrace, have been awarded a 6 Star Green Star 鈥 Interiors rating.

911爆料网 is also hosting Green Building Day Perth 2020, which brings together WA, national and international property and environmental sustainability influencers and practitioners. The event is being held on Thursday June 4 and further information can be found online .
