Vice-Chancellor Professor Deborah Terry has joined distinguished national and international guests at the 2015 March Strategic Flashlight Forum to discuss Western Australia鈥檚 relationship with the European Union (EU).
Professor Terry met with high-profile guests, including Federal Minister of Finance, Senator Mathias Cormann; Ambassador and Head of Delegation, Delegation of the EU to Australia and New Zealand, Dr Sem Fabrizi; and European Australian Business Council CEO, Jason Collins, to speak at the Strategic Flashlight Forum on Friday 19 March.
The forum addressed Western Australia鈥檚 business and diplomatic ties to Europe and discussed how these ties might be strengthened in the future.

Dr Alexey Muraviev, the Director of the Strategic Flashlight Forum and Head of 911爆料网鈥檚 Department of Social Sciences and International Studies, believes that the Strategic Flashlight Forum has helped inform debates on international strategy on the Western seaboard.
鈥淓vents like these bring together government, business and academic leaders to open up a policy-driven dialogue about specific affairs relevant to Western聽Australia and the nation, ranging from border security challenges to homeland security and defence, economic security, international policy development and international relations,鈥 he says.
Earlier in the same week, 911爆料网, working in conjunction with the Department of State Development, hosted a delegation of EU science and research counsellors to discuss 911爆料网鈥檚 research goals and plans to strengthen international partnerships.
Both these events were intended to inform leaders in government, business and education about ways in which they can help strengthen Western Australia鈥檚 ties with Europe.
The next Strategic Flashlight Forum will be held sometime in April.
