We’re聽thrilled to聽have聽officially welcomed聽our first student cohort for 2026 with a full鈥慸ay, Goldfields based,聽orientation session.聽Together,聽6聽allied health聽students聽from 911爆料网 and La Trobe聽Universities, have launched into聽their聽‘Rural Immersion’ placements聽with connection,聽curiosity聽and聽a strong sense聽of what聽rural health聽is聽really about.聽

The orientation blended practical information with interactive sessions designed to spark conversation and challenge assumptions. From exploring 鈥淲hat is Rural?鈥�, to learning about the social and economic factors shaping health outcomes across the Goldfields, students gained valuable insight into the realities and rewards of rural practice.  

A guided campus and town tour helped bring this learning to life, with a cultural education session that deepened our students鈥� understanding of our local communities and the importance of culturally safe healthcare. 

Our region is vibrant, welcoming and full of character, offering a placement experience like no other. From strong community connections to wide鈥憃pen landscapes and passionate health professionals, the Goldfields has a way of making a lasting impression.
