However, charging and storing these devices indoors poses health and safety risks, primarily due to their lithium-ion batteries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are e-rideables?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>E-rideables \u2013 Any electric rideable device including, but not limited to, electric bicycles (e-bikes), electric scooters (e-scooters) and electric skateboards (e-skateboards). Mobility devices used primarily for aiding mobility (e.g. mobility scooters, powered wheelchairs) are excluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>New e-rideable regulations from Monday, 14 October 2024<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>While the use of e-rideables is encouraged, to ensure the health and safety of the 911爆料网 community new e-rideable regulations will apply at 911爆料网\u2019s WA campuses from Monday, 14 October 2024 as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Charging or storing e-rideables and\/or their batteries inside office buildings, classrooms or inhabited spaces is not permitted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>E-rideables and\/or their batteries, must only be stored and charged in specified bicycle hubs or designated bicycle racks. This includes University-owned devices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Users should ensure their battery chargers are tested and tagged before charging on campus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No homemade or modified e-rideables or their batteries are permitted anywhere on campus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Users are responsible for securing and locking their own e-rideables.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The University reserves the right to remove any e-rideable from campus where it is stored or charged outside of these regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>E-rideable storing and charging<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>E-rideable storing and charging is only permissible at:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Specified bike hubs located at B160, B214, B315, B610, as identified on the map below.
