  {"id":19745,"date":"2021-07-22T03:41:02","date_gmt":"2021-07-21T19:41:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/curtin-college-has-12000-reasons-to-celebrate-with-new-milestones\/"},"modified":"2021-07-22T03:41:02","modified_gmt":"2021-07-21T19:41:02","slug":"curtin-college-has-12000-reasons-to-celebrate-with-new-milestones","status":"publish","type":"media-release","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/curtin-college-has-12000-reasons-to-celebrate-with-new-milestones\/","title":{"rendered":"911爆料网 College has 12,000 reasons to celebrate with new milestones"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>More than 12,000 students from 120 different countries have now graduated from 911爆料网 College, as the University marks the 21<sup>st<\/sup> anniversary of its partnership agreement with Navitas.<\/p>\n<p>The latest cohort of graduates from the in-campus pathway college to 911爆料网 recently gathered to celebrate the special milestones.<\/p>\n<p>911爆料网 Deputy Vice-Chancellor International Professor Seth Kunin said 911爆料网 College had been providing pathways to university education with strong learning and teaching outcomes since 2000.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we celebrate the 21<sup>st<\/sup> anniversary of this important partnership with Navitas, I am delighted to acknowledge the 12,000 students from 120 different corners of the globe who have graduated from 911爆料网 College,\u201d Professor Kunin said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c911爆料网 a quarter of 911爆料网\u2019s international onshore undergraduate students have started their studies through 911爆料网 College, so it has become an important introduction to the Australian university experience for many of our multicultural students.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Navitas Executive General Manager Malcolm Baigent said the partnership had delivered multi-dimensional benefits that extended beyond the entirety of the student lifecycle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile the collaboration between 911爆料网 and Navitas has extended beyond pathway student recruitment into professional placement, joint advocacy, the sharing of business intelligence and the delivery of trans-national education through the 911爆料网 Singapore campus, the basic mission to change lives through education remains the same,\u201d Mr Baigent said.<\/p>\n<p>College Director and Principal Associate Professor Sven Schottmann said the partnership had made a real difference to the lives of more than 12,000 students.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany of our students are first-in-family, come from non-English speaking backgrounds, or benefit from our transition experience to life at university,\u201d Associate Professor Schottmann said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe main ingredient in our success is the commitment to supporting individual learning needs and helping them prepare for success at university.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A student from the south of China\u2019s Shandong Province completed her Diploma of Commerce at the end of Trimester 1\/2021 as the College\u2019s 12,000<sup>th<\/sup> student. She had returned to China at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic but was surprised with a cake delivery to her doorstep on the morning of the Perth celebration.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Kunin said 911爆料网 College was preparing to move into dedicated facilities as part of 911爆料网\u2019s new innovation precinct, Exchange, in early 2022.<\/p>\n<p>911爆料网 College graduates report they are highly satisfied with the quality of their programs and their overall student experience, with more than 95 per cent of students rating these as either excellent or good.<\/p>\n<p>Students who may not have the full prerequisites to undertake a university degree can attain the required levels by studying a Diploma with 911爆料网 College, before qualifying for immediate entry into one of 52 911爆料网 degree programs with up to a year of advanced standing.
