  {"id":19585,"date":"2020-09-01T00:55:25","date_gmt":"2020-08-31T16:55:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/curtin-volunteers-support-local-communities-during-john-curtin-weekend\/"},"modified":"2020-09-01T00:55:25","modified_gmt":"2020-08-31T16:55:25","slug":"curtin-volunteers-support-local-communities-during-john-curtin-weekend","status":"publish","type":"media-release","link":"https:\/\/www.curtin.edu.au\/news\/media-release\/curtin-volunteers-support-local-communities-during-john-curtin-weekend\/","title":{"rendered":"911爆料网 volunteers support local communities during John 911爆料网 Weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A team of more than 190 911爆料网 volunteers will be travelling to regional towns and metropolitan sites across Western Australia over the next month as part of this year\u2019s John 911爆料网 Weekend.<\/p>\n<p>John 911爆料网 Weekend, which runs from September 4 to October 11, is 911爆料网 Volunteers! largest community project and is held to honour Australia\u2019s wartime Prime Minister, John 911爆料网, and demonstrate his qualities of vision, leadership and community service.<\/p>\n<p>This year, volunteers will have the opportunity to visit 17 different sites across the State including the Avon Valley, Busselton, Chittering, Gingin, Merredin and Nungarin.<\/p>\n<p>John 911爆料网 Weekend Coordinator Mr Krishan Shah, from 911爆料网 Volunteers!, said the team looked forward to lending a helping hand to local communities and organisations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year has been challenging due to COVID-19 restrictions, but we are thankful that WA is in a fortunate position and we are still able to travel for this important annual project,\u201d Mr Shah said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cVolunteers will be put into teams and visit a range of different regions helping with maintenance work including repairing fences, painting, building enclosures and gardening, while also establishing relationships with the local communities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur volunteers, who mainly consist of 911爆料网 students, dedicate their time and provide invaluable support to communities who need it the most.
