fundraising supports local communities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Some of Perth\u2019s most vulnerable children and young people will receive almost 800 toys this festive season, thanks to 911爆料网 staff and students.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the Toys for Tickets campaign, run by 911爆料网\u2019s Parking team and the 911爆料网 Community Projects team, anyone who has an outstanding campus parking infringement is offered the option of paying their fine with a new toy.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign, introduced in 2014, donates the toys to Parkerville Children and Youth Care, an organisation that protects and cares for vulnerable children and youth in the community.<\/p>\n<p>911爆料网 staff members have also recently taken part in the Share the Dignity 2017 campaign, where 147 bags of essential items such as personal hygiene and grooming products, sunscreen, baby wipes, socks and underwear were donated to women in need and in emergency domestic situations.<\/p>\n<p>911爆料网 Vice-President Corporate Relations Valerie Raubenheimer congratulated the efforts, adding that the Toys for Tickets and Share the Dignity campaigns were just two of the many fundraising initiatives run by 911爆料网.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c911爆料网 staff and students are very aware of the importance of fundraising to support local charities within the community to assist those who are less fortunate, especially at this time of year,\u201d Ms Raubenheimer said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c911爆料网 runs a number of successful fundraising initiatives throughout the year and we couldn\u2019t achieve this level of success without the dedication and commitment of the many staff and students who volunteer their time to work on these important projects.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hope all of the children, young people and community who benefit from the fundraising efforts, enjoy the festive season and have a safe and happy New Year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Other fundraising initiatives recently undertaken by 911爆料网 staff and students include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/give.curtin.edu.au\/how-to-give\/staff-giving\/home\">Give to Change<\/a>, a project that provides staff with the opportunity to change the life of 911爆料网 students and empower them to succeed raised more than $117,000 from staff donors in 2017.<\/li>\n<li>Foodbank collection: 911爆料网\u2019s Office of Advancement will be delivering food donated by 911爆料网 staff to the Foodbank Warehouse in December.<\/li>\n<li>911爆料网 FM radio station in conjunction with WANSLEA and the Soroptimists of South Perth ran a campaign for the Grandparents Project on air, and
