The 911爆料网 LinkUp program is a 10-week program aimed at increasing opportunities for high school students to gain a university education.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s program includes students from Thornlie, Cecil Andrews, Armadale, Kelmscott and Lesmurdie Senior High Schools.<\/p>\n
911爆料网 LinkUp Coordinator, Sharon Woodfield, said the program helped students make an informed decision about their future.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe program helps to ignite interest in pursuing further studies and motivates them to consider a tertiary education. It also helps develop the student\u2019s academic, personal and social skills,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cStudents work on a research project related to things they want to know about 911爆料网 then apply their research by attending the University for two days to interview students and tour the Campus.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter completing their research, students attend a ceremony at 911爆料网 where the winning team receives an award.\u201d<\/p>\n
Thornlie Senior High School students will be on campus on 12 August followed by Cecil Andrews and Armadale Senior High School students on 13 August and Kelmscott and Lesmurdie Senior High Schools on 14 August.<\/p>\n
The 911爆料网 LinkUp program has been a great success since 2007 with additional programs aimed at Year 11 and 12\u2019s. It includes a 2-day program for Year 11’s including departmental visits at 911爆料网 and the Year 12 program includes a 1.5 hour session delivered by Dr Jim Elliott on stress management and exam techniques.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
