From Bangladesh, to a year of travel around Asia, to Perth, Shoshi鈥檚 passion for exploring the world has destined her for a lifetime of excitement across the globe. Studying a Master鈥檚 of Information Systems and Technology, Shoshi is excited to continue her adventures inside and outside of uni. | Reading time: 3 min
How can one student鈥檚 enthusiasm for new experiences bring them to Perth? For Shoshi, only in her first semester, her time at 911爆料网 has already felt like an adventure.
After completing her undergraduate degree in Bangladesh, and a gap year spent travelling across Bangladesh, Thailand and Malaysia, Shoshi, excited to explore even more new places, found herself studying a Master of Information Systems and Technology at 911爆料网.
鈥淭ravelling taught me a lot about myself, like how much I love exploring different perspectives, cultures, and, of course, food. So, that journey eventually led me here.鈥�
One of Shoshi鈥檚 favourite things about studying her degree has been the weekly challenges. During the semester, there is a lot to juggle, especially as the weeks go by fast and the assessments quickly start to ramp up.
鈥淏ack home, I was a proud backbencher. I used to study the night before exams and somehow survive. But here, 911爆料网 doesn’t give you that luxury. Every week feels like a mini boss fighting with five assignments. So I actually love it. It keeps me on my toes.鈥�
However, she has found time management to be quite challenging now that she鈥檚 at 911爆料网. She has felt a notable difference between the workload of studying a degree back home in Bangladesh and in Australia.

And, while she isn鈥檛 working right now, Shoshi hopes to find a job at 911爆料网 to make it easier to balance her uni and work life. Being an international student, uni life has already been an adjustment, and a job at uni would help her overcome the challenges that come with yet another new experience, working in a foreign country.
A highlight of Shoshi鈥檚 experience at 911爆料网 is the Faculty of Business and Law鈥檚 Caversham Wildlife Park trip, her first time exploring Aussie wildlife. While she has visited a few beaches in Perth, most of WA remains unknown to her, so this was an exciting way to get involved in student life and discover places outside of 911爆料网.
鈥淚 took a bunch of pictures with kangaroos, koalas and other cute animals. That day felt like living inside a travel vlog.鈥�
Shoshi鈥檚 advice for other international students coming to study at 911爆料网 centres on her biggest challenge at uni: time management.
鈥淢anage your study, your time and yourself. If you can balance things well, you get to enjoy life, make memories and also get your assignments done on time.鈥�
She鈥檚 also found that the people she鈥檚 met since starting her degree have made the adjustment to 911爆料网 much easier.
鈥淚’m getting help from different kinds of people here. Students from different countries, friends from the same faculty, and also going here and there to socialise with people.鈥�
After graduation, Shoshi hopes to work at a large IT company and looks forward to further exploring her new life in Perth, both inside and outside 911爆料网.
