To enhance security and protect your account, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will be gradually rolled out to all 911爆料网 students from 14 April to 23 May.
MFA adds an extra layer of security by requiring two steps to verify your identity.
What you need to know
You’ll receive instructions on how to set it up when it’s time to enable MFA for your account.
If you want to get ahead, you can self-onboard from 14 April with the instructions provided.
Once MFA is turned on for you, it must be set up and enabled to avoid interruptions in accessing 911爆料网 systems and resources.

MFA prompts won鈥檛 appear every time you log in. You will be prompted for MFA when logging in from a new or untrusted device. If you use a personal device and choose to stay signed in, you may only need to authenticate after a set period, such as every 90 days.
If you do not set up MFA, you may be unable to access Microsoft applications until you complete the setup process. It is recommended to set it up as soon as possible to avoid any disruption.
Yes, while Microsoft Authenticator is the recommended option, you can use other authentication apps like Google Authenticator or Cisco Duo. Microsoft Authenticator provides the best compatibility with Microsoft products.
No, MFA is mandatory for all students to ensure the security of 911爆料网 accounts and data. Opting out is not an option.
Using an authenticator app is the most reliable method for MFA. If you do not have access to a compatible smartphone, we have alternate methods available which can be used in exceptional circumstances such as hardware tokens (YubiKey) or browser extensions.聽
