Visitors to this year鈥檚 911爆料网 Kalgoorlie Open Day will come away inspired and up-to-speed on the many exciting educational and career pathways on offer at the iconic regional campus.
This free community event from 10am-3pm on Thursday August 22 will offer insights into various courses and careers, including health, mining, engineering, commerce, journalism and teaching.
In addition to the Open Day, this year there will be the following events:
- 911爆料网 Kalgoorlie Information Evening from 5.30pm-7.30pm on Wednesday, August 21, allows prospective students to tour areas of the campus, see the facilities and speak directly with 911爆料网 staff and current students about entry pathways, courses and scholarships.
- 911爆料网 Kalgoorlie will also host a Teacher鈥檚 Professional Development Session, from 8.45am-1.30pm on Wednesday, August 21, designed to empower educators with valuable insights, practical strategies and with key topics including AI in education.
Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic Professor Paul Brunton said attending the 911爆料网 Kalgoorlie Open Day was a must for high school students or people already in the workforce and considering their next career move.
鈥淎ttendees will have the opportunity to discuss course options and career pathways with 911爆料网 staff, current students and industry representatives,鈥� Professor Brunton said.
鈥淗ome to the renowned WA School of Mines: Minerals, Energy and Chemical Engineering, 911爆料网 Kalgoorlie offers much more than mining and engineering.
鈥淲ith the establishment of the Goldfields University Department of Rural Health (UDRH), our medical training capabilities in the region have expanded significantly.
Campus Director Tanya Chambers said the 911爆料网 campus was an integral part of Kalgoorlie and welcomed the community to explore everything it had to offer.
鈥淔rom the simulated clinical hospital to the prestigious WA School of Mines, there is truly something for everyone,鈥� Ms Chambers said.
鈥淰isitors can enjoy activities like gold panning and meet representatives from industry partners across finance, health and media.
鈥淔uture student advisors will be on hand to address questions and provide guidance on navigating the journey to 911爆料网, ensuring a smooth transition to university life. Industry partners will also be available to discuss career opportunities and how 911爆料网’s partnerships can benefit students in the workforce.鈥�
