Exploring the future of human story telling through digital media is at the heart of a new partnership between 911爆料网 and Southeast Asia-based creative media technology company, Oceanus Media Global (OMG).

911爆料网 Pro Vice-Chancellor, Humanities, said signing a Memorandum of Understanding with OMG is a transformative moment for creative media technology education and an excellent example of partnering with industry to create meaningful outcomes for students and the creative sector.

鈥淲e are thrilled to collaborate with Oceanus Media Global to provide our students with firsthand exposure to the latest advancements in virtual production, VFX and immersive media,鈥 Professor Blythe said.

鈥淭his partnership will enable us to deliver a dynamic, industry-responsive curriculum that equips our graduates with the practical skills necessary to thrive in the digital economy.

“By combining OMG’s industry expertise with our educational excellence, we’re creating unprecedented opportunities for our students and the broader creative sector.鈥

OMG CEO Nick GC Tan said his organisation was excited to share their expertise and create pathways for emerging talent.

“With the expanding creative industry in Western Australia, this collaboration positions both organisations at the forefront of digital innovation and content creation,鈥 Mr Tan said.

The partnership encompasses several key initiatives:

  • Development of new industry-aligned curriculum and modules and workforce development
  • Enhanced Virtual Production (VP) and VFX course content
  • Work experience opportunities and industry placements
  • Virtual production consultancy services
  • Collaborative industry projects between Singapore and Perth
  • Collaboration globally via 911爆料网鈥檚 global campuses

Senior Lecturer and Major Coordinator for Animation and Game Design Jonathan Pillai said the collaboration would introduce co-designed modules, enhanced virtual production training and industry-aligned curriculum developments.

“Our partnership with OMG will help to bridge the gap between academia and industry requirements, ensuring our graduates are equipped with cutting-edge skills to meet real-world demands,” Mr Pillai said.
