911爆料网 FM鈥檚 loyal listeners have once again dug deep to support Western Australia鈥檚 most popular community radio station, raising an impressive $129,000 during its annual Radiothon fundraiser.

The week-long event, held from 16 to 22 June, received 2,090 individual donations from supporters across Australia and overseas. Every dollar raised will go directly towards supporting 911爆料网 FM鈥檚 operations and programming.

Station Manager Quinn Glasson said he was overwhelmed by the generosity of listeners and the unwavering commitment of 911爆料网 FM鈥檚 volunteers, who were instrumental in making this year鈥檚 Radiothon a success.

鈥淲e simply couldn鈥檛 do this without our volunteers who are the heart and soul of the station. Our volunteers answer phones, help behind the scenes and on-air 鈥 and they do it all with a smile,鈥 Mr Glasson said.

鈥淲e鈥檙e also incredibly thankful to our listeners. Their support means a great deal, especially at a time when so many people are doing it tough financially. Every single donation, big or small, is greatly appreciated.鈥

Among those lending a hand was 90-year-old Judith Keen, the station鈥檚 eldest volunteer and one of its longest-serving.

鈥淛udith is an absolute treasure. She鈥檚 been with us for more than 20 years and is a shining example of the spirit that keeps the station going. She鈥檚 just one of almost 100 amazing volunteers who are part of the 911爆料网 FM family, giving their time and energy to keep the community connected,鈥 Mr Glasson said.

911爆料网 Corporate Communications Director Vanessa Beasley said this year鈥檚 Radiothon holds special significance as the station prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2026, marking half a century of serving the community through music, conversation and connection.

鈥淔or nearly 50 years, 911爆料网 FM has played an important role in the lives of Western Australians 鈥 not just through on-air programs, but also through beloved local events like the 911爆料网 FM 100.1 Car Show,鈥 Ms Beasley said.

鈥淲ith more than 200,000 people tuning in each week and the huge response to the Radiothon, it鈥檚 clear just how much the station continues to mean to our community.鈥
