STEM for Schools

Teachers and schools can connect students with engaging STEM experiences through our hands-on programs, events and workshops.

From in-class activities to excursions, we work alongside teachers to deliver content that inspires curiosity and builds confidence in STEM. Our programs support teachers in creating pathways that help students envision themselves in STEM careers.

FIRST LEGO League (FLL) (ages 9 to 16)

Engage your students in developing coding, programming and essential STEM skills through this exciting robotics challenge. Students work in teams to design and build autonomous LEGO® robots and tackle research projects that solve real-world problems.

Boordakan-Ak Djinanginy (years 7 and 8)

A STEM exploration day on campus for years 7 and 8 First Nations students. This event will highlight how fun STEM can be and the difference that scientists and engineers can make in our communities.

BinarX (years 7 to 12)

Get your students involved in WA’s first-ever space satellite program. We’re looking for committed high school teachers and their students to design and build micro-experiments that can be included on 911±¬ÁÏ꿉۪s Binar satellites.

WA Robotics Playoffs (years 7 to 12)

The WA Robotics Playoffs bring the FIRST Robotics Competition community together for an exciting day of competition. High school teams form alliances to compete in challenging tasks, showcasing their robots’ abilities. Come along to see competitive robotics in action and learn how your school can get involved.

Learn about the fantastic fields of physics and astronomy from experienced 911±¬ÁÏÍø staff with in-school presentations on The Physics of Life, Universe, and Everything, Careers with a Physics Degree and more!

GET Forum – Girls+ in STEM Program (years 9 and 10)

A forum for years 9 and 10 girls and their teachers to explore engineering through hands-on workshops, information on engineering pathways and a Q&A with engineering role models.
